Minimum logo size: stay readable at 16px
Keep logos readable down to 16 pixels with minimum size rules, stroke limits and favicon tests.
Smallest size that still reads
Full logos need at least 120 pixels wide for print and 80 pixels for screens to keep 10 point text legible. Below 64 pixels, switch to icons because thin 1 pixel strokes disappear on 5 inch phones.
Favicons at 16 pixels show only bold shapes with 3 pixel minimum details and 2 colors. When you generate your logo online, run the 16 pixel test for 10 seconds to confirm the mark survives shrinking.
Favicon test that never lies
Shrink art to 48, 32 and 16 pixels and view on 13 inch laptops at arm length. If text blurs at 32 pixels, remove taglines under 12 characters and boost contrast by 20 percent for clarity.
Document minimums across 8 pages for teams of 20 with examples at exact pixels. Review every 18 months because screens since 2020 pack 400 ppi and expose weak details in just 5 seconds.
